THE CONCEPT BEHIND S. KOMATSU
ARE YOU AWARE that there is an alarming trend in society whereby people are falling ill from the current food culture? On a daily basis more and more people are recognizing that they are intolerant to many of the ingredients we find in our everyday foods. 1 in 100 people in Victoria alone are currently estimated to have an intolerance to gluten but there are fears amongst specialists that this is just the tip of the iceberg, with countless more people yet to define the cause of their ill-health to the foods they ingest. An intolerance to any food substance can manifest in ANYONE, at any age, which means that none of us are immune. It could become a problem for YOU too, as early as tomorrow!
Under the current food culture we know that it is virtually impossible for many people to go out to dine with peace of mind because they are worried about the truly unpleasant consequences of coming in contact with foods that cause common intolerances such as gluten, lactose or fructose. How sad is that! To be deprived of the simply pleasure of dining out!
Personally we LOVE to dine out on fabulous food...who doesn't!! So we decided that something had to be done to stop the intolerance trend. We determined to pioneer a futuristic dining culture whereby all of us can dine with peace of mind that we are not setting ourselves up to succumb to the ill-effects of food intolerances. We called ourselves 'NexGenEats' as we believe we are initiating the type of diet the next generations need to eat. ALL of us have to give our bodies a break from the daily onslaught of ingredients causing common food intolerances such as gluten (wheat, barley, rye, oats) lactose or excess fructose. To demonstrate that it is possible we created S. Komatsu, a super safe dining haven where ingredients causing common food intolerances such as gluten (wheat, barley, rye, oats) lactose or excess fructose are totally banned. Yes, banned!
But please note this does not imply a ban on taste! We are, in fact, passionate about creating the ultimate dining experience for everyone and so have dived into the considerable challenge of re-inventing mouthwatering dishes, from favorites like lasagna and carbonara, to the most exquisite modern Japanese dishes ever. We confidently vaunt that we offer a life-enhancing and remarkably delicious dining experience and trust that you will be able to sense our absolute devotion in the taste, aroma and presentation of our dishes.
Today we're delighted to be able to bring back the simply pleasure of dining out to the increasing number of people who are inflicted with food intolerances. We hope that our passion will also help lead mankind out of a destiny of ill-health from certain foodstuffs in the future.
