All of the wines on this list are dry, which means they contain minimal sugar (less than 4g per litre). The naturally occurring sugar in the grape juice is predominantly glucose. To make wine, yeast is added to fresh grape juice. The yeast cells feed on the grape sugar, converting it to alcohol. When the majority of the sugar has been converted to alcohol, the wine is said to be ‘dry’
